Youth Earth Plan version 0.5 reflects on various issues that Youth will inherit from previous generations and offers a plan to improve our inheritance. Our Task released the Youth Earth Plan, version 0.5(YEP) in a conference on 18 August 2008 in Arlington, Virginia, USA.
Our Task (OT) is an international network of young adults aged about 15 to 25. OT has members in 15 countries. Our Task envisions a future characterized by a mutually enhancing relationship between humans and Earth.To understand the challenges that await us, Our Task (OT) has spent two years collecting and analyzing some of the most respected and globally-focused future studies and outlook reports for the world's social, economic, resource, and ecological systems based on the studies were published by United Nations (UN) agencies, the World Bank (WB), and other respected organizations.
The YEP is not finished, it is relatively complete and coherent draft.OurTask is seeking comments and suggestions for its next version. For this purposes, Our Task arrange a program on Sunday, 2 November, 2008 presentation of Youth Earth Plan in adult education program at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church.
