Symposium tracks highlight and demonstrate research, application and best practices of important emerging technological tools related to social networking, assessment, open educational resources, new media and support services.
This conference, which will provide the latest information on emerging technology applications for online learning, is geared to both experienced professionals and interested newcomers to online learning who hail from a variety of work sectors, including higher education, continuing education, business, government, health care, professional associations, and nonprofit organizations.
The Symposium brings together people who are interested in the ways emerging technologies are transforming education by addressing challenges in learning, affordability, accessibility and faculty and student satisfaction.

The New Learning Communities
We invite you to submit a proposal for the Sloan Consortium International Symposium on Emerging Technology Applications for Online Learning. The symposium brings together people who are interested in the ways emerging technologies are transforming education by addressing challenges in learning, affordability, accessibility and faculty and student satisfaction.
Experts, intermediate users and novices are welcome to participate in Symposium activities including both face-to-face and virtual components. Symposium tracks call for demonstrations of research and practice related to pedagogy, immersive learning, innovation, community and scale.
Presenters are encouraged to identify the audience for their presentations in terms of low- and high-threshold applications and in terms of expertise.
