Team OS/2 Deutschland e.V. and warpevents.eu are pleased to announce that WARPSTOCK EUROPE 2008 will be held at the City Hostel Düsseldorf, Germany on November 14-16, 2008.
Warpstock is an annual conference for the OS/2 and eComStation operating systems and related technology. It is dedicated to information, education, support, and exchange and addresses users, developers, and software vendors. To achieve these goals, the event offers seminars and workshops, exhibition areas, and room for personal exchange.
While OS/2 is still alive, its successor eComStation even continually evolves. Being able to run on the latest and greatest hardware out of the box, native state-of-the-art third-party applications like OpenOffice.org and the Mozilla line of products are available.
Although focused on OS/2- and eComStation related technologies, a lot of the presentations cover platform-independant solutions and products in general, not to mention new, exciting developments like the netlabs.org Voyager project that strives to enable the processing and handling of data based on its semantic information.
The admission fee of 15 Euro per person/day includes free access to exhibition areas as well as any of the presentations on that day.
