The threat of a CBRN attack has applicability to both the defense sector, homeland security sector, and the health and human services sector which are in the beginning stages of concerted cooperation in both science & technology issues and response issues. In fact, the Federal Government has allocated over $11.2 billion in 2009 to specifically “Defend Against Catastrophic Threats.”
