Description
The 8th International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems (PEDS’09) will be held for the first time in Taipei, Taiwan, in November 2009. The conference is a biennial event and is recognized as one in a series of major conferences on power electronics and drive system organized in Asia. PEDS’09 will continue to retain its tradition of high quality conference providing forum for academics and industrial professionals worldwide to exchange their knowledge and state of the art of power electronic and drive technologies and applications. Even if the conference main theme is Power Electronics and Drive Systems, the conference does encourage to works and applications devoted to alleviate today’s word energy crisis. As power electronics engineering, the merger of power and electronic engineering as well as the unnamed control engineering, features high efficiency electrical power processing and agility of electronic and control. It is one of the most appropriate engineering disciplines to cope with energy crisis.
It is my pleasure to invite you, on behalf of the local organizing committee, to be our special guests to convene in Taipei for the 8th PEDS conference during the 2th to 5th of November 2009. We will do our best to arrange warm welcome and unforgettable meeting, a long standing capital of Taiwan with many tourist attractions, where historic sites, modern skyscraper and people from different cultures reside in harmony. The program will feature tutorials, technical paper presentations and exhibition of power electronics equipments and drive systems.
