Customer Oriented Public Services
Public services is a term usually used to many services provided by the government to its citizens either directly (through the public sector) or by financing private provision of services. The term denotes that the certain services should the available to all, regard less of income. Public services are also known as services of general utility such as Public transport, Police, Fire brigade, Electric Supply, Water Supply, Health Care, Waste Disposal, etc. which are provided by the state as free of cost or with subsidized rates.
In 21st century, the presence and influence of the market grew dramatically and the consumer exceptions from the public services are increasing. Government and public sector organizations need to view consumer services differently than for profit organizations.
