Research disciplines in Islamic Laws have developed over centuries and the findings are undoubtedly enormous. New approaches to its research methodology have been adopted and traditional method gradually losing its ground. Multidisciplinary and socio-legal perspectives are among the order of the day. Indeed a combination of “traditional” and "non- traditional” approaches has opened a vibrant discourse among academicians and intellectuals as to their challenges and prospects. With this framework in picture, the present conference aims to address the abovementioned issues.
