The International Symposium on Democracy and Democracy Education in the Europe will be held between 11-12 June, 2009 in Çanakkale, Turkey. Academicians and other researches would be able to present their studies and share their ideas on the issues like perception of democracy and democracy education in Turkey and member countries of European Union, cultural diversity and cultural richness, the role of education in developing students’ current and prospective perceptions of democracy. The Symposium will also create an opportunity for discussion of solutions to problems to be identified with regard to democracy education.
