Description The SOLSTICE Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning at Edge Hill University is pleased to announce its 4th international conference.

Enhancing learning with technologies presents many challenges for practitioners, not least in terms of how the learner's experience and behaviours can be understood and evaluated. To this end, innovation, research and development cannot exist independantly of one another. The relationship between the three is therefore a key factor in ensuring the 'intelligent' deployment of technologies.

The 4th SOLSTICE Conference will actively explore the 'blend' between innovation, research and development of supported and blended online learning. The SOLSTICE conference attracts colleagues from the higher education sector worldwide wishing to share knowledge, expertise and skills relating relationships between research, innovation and development to the enhancement of student learning through the intelligent development of technologies.

Conference Themes:-

1. Researching elearning notions of impact and effect using technologies

2. Theoretical bases of elearning and learning environments

3. Technologies and learning environments - physical and virtual spaces

4. Impacting on students’ learning - cause and effect
