The practicing surgeon will be brought up-to-date on the latest developments in General Surgery. This clinically oriented course offers General Surgeons an intensive overview of problems encountered in daily practice. It would also be of substantial value in preparation for board and recertification examinations. The emphasis this year is on new information and surgical techniques concerning liver tumors, the biliary tract, the esophagus, colorectal disease, hepatobiliary and pancreas, and vascular surgery. This year’s program also features a special section on important issues that today’s surgeons need to know including the role of modern radiotherapy, cost containment, surgical treatment of morbid obesity, surgical oncology and hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery.
