Themed ‘IDENTITY’, Interiors Malaysia 2009 undertakes the expressions of “emotional culture” and allow designers to build on an identity of design. INTERIORS Malaysia 2009 is endorsed by International Federation of Interior Architect / Designers, Asia Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).
In creating stronger “IDENTITY”, this event will also highlight the high profiled Business of Interiors International Conference with the theme “Vision Futures: IDENTITY”. Prominent speakers from the regional interior design industry fraternity will be featured in the even. A 6,000 sq ft Trend Setting Interior Lifestyle Showhouse will feature the evolving living lifestyles and latest trends towards sustainability and business networking opportunities.
INTERIORS Malaysia having taken its first step in being a full-fledge trade fair in May 2008 had received strong support and participation from industry partners bringing new dimension, color and expression to the interiors lifestyle industry, making it a truly unique and strong design driven event. INTERIORS Malaysia 2008 also has seen the international participation of Italian Sicilian Stones Consortium to showcase marble and granite, Taiwan lighting technology as well as Vietnam's paintings and decorative items. INTERIORS Malaysia 2008 saw a significant increase of 118% in its visitorship, with 9,196 visitors from 36 countries since its inaugural showcase in year 2007 and attracted strong media presence.
In the wake of the internationalization of the industry, INTERIORS Malaysia 2009 is very relevant to boost the industry by having more local and international suppliers to showcase their latest products and innovation, enabling interior designers to adopt and achieve international standards in the design industry. The trade fair has been creatively designed for eventually taking the industry to the regional and global platform, making it a meeting hub for players in the industry, both locally and from the region, to gather, exchange ideas, to introduce contemporary innovations, ideas, designs and technologies to cater the growing needs of an ever expanding market form smart partnerships, conduct business dealings and keep abreast of industry developments.
