Program Purpose / Objectives
Statement of Purpose: The purpose of this CME activity is to outline the management of infectious challenges in clinical practice including emerging infections and antibiotic/preventive choices.
Course Objectives

• Review the epidemiology of infective endocarditis
• Discuss etiologic agents of gastrointestinal infections focusing in Clostridium difficile
• Identify risk factors associated with community-acquired Pneumonia
• List negatives of a Herpes Zoster vaccine
• Review clinically important microbes that have become resistant to antimicrobials
• Review clinical features of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
• Determine who should be screened and treated for asymptomatic bacteriuria
• Recognize and treat Coccidioidomycosis infections
