This is to announce the second annual Stone Summer Theory Institute, on the subject "What is an Image?", July 14-19, School of the Art Institute, Chicago.
Faculty include W.J.T. Mitchell, Jacqueline Lichtenstein, and Marie-José Mondzain. The event is co-organized by
James Elkins and Gottfried Boehm. The faculty will lead 27 hours of seminars that are closed to the public; 15 spaces are available for Fellows.
Full tuition remission, travel, and accommodation grants are available. Faculty and advanced graduate students are invited to apply; please follow the instructions on the website,
