Description This is the last in an annual series of workshop provides hands-on training for investigators learning how to culture, manipulate, and differentiate ES cells from humans in vitro. This workshop reflects an increasing need for practical training in the manipulation of human stem cells in the laboratory and will draw heavily on state-of-the-art expertise in the area of growth, maintenance and differentiation of human embryonic stem cells.
Additional Information Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, for 16 seats, so early application is highly advised. To meet the objectives of this course, consideration will be limited to applicants with a doctoral degree or near completion of a doctoral degree.

students, post-docs, and medical interns pay a reduced fee of $1,200.00

All others: $1,500.00

Registration fee includes all laboratory materials, meals, and lodging at Highseas Conference Center

Employees of pharmaceutical and biotechnology corporations that belong to our Research Affiliates Program are eligible for either a registration fee waiver or 25% reduction. Please contact Teresa Chu for more details about the Affiliates Program benefits for conference registration.

Application for admission is made by submitting to the contact person (link above) via email, post, or fax, all of the documents listed here:

-Application cover form (pdf file) If this form does not save your data electronically, you may fax a print-out to the number provided on the form.

-Current CV, 2 page maximum;

-A letter of recommendation from your advisor if you are a pre-doctoral student, or from your supervisor if you are a postdoctoral fellow.

-An additional survey form will be sent to all applicants for completion before applications are reviewed by the organizers.

Limited travel scholarships may be available to qualified applicants (US Citizens or foreigners working in US funded laboratories). Requests for scholarship consideration must accompany your application and include your citizenship/immigration status and description of need. Incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarship support. Scholarship award amounts depend on the number of qualified applications demonstrating need.
