The Gala is a time to recognize the 2008 scholarship winners while celebrating women in science.
We are excited to have Dr. Naomi Oreskes give a keynote address. She is a Professor of History and Science studies and the Provost of 6th College at UCSD. You may recognize her from her climate change work featured in the Academy Award winning film, “An Inconvenient Truth”. She has also been heavily cited in the print media including Newsweek, The New Scientist, The New Yorker, USA Today, and The New York Times.
This year we are holding the Gala at the historic Coronado Boathouse, the original home of Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
