Description This is the year that cleaning products are going green in a big way. Consumers have spoken and they’re asking for affordable, environmentally-friendly household cleaners that are as effective as traditional cleaning products. In a recent market report, Euromonitor International has identified ‘the growing green movement’ as a key trend in the household care industry. Retailers, Wal-Mart in particular; have recognized that consumers will use green-ness as a criterion when making their purchasing decisions. However, trends have shown that consumers are not willing to pay a premium for eco-friendly products unless they compare favorably with tried and true brands.

The trend toward green isn’t driven by the consumer alone – there’s more to the story than satisfying the demands of the eco-conscious. IntertechPira’s updated What’s New on the ‘Clean Green’ Scene: Cleaning Products 2008 will focus on the regulatory environment that is changing the way people perceive ‘clean.’

Last year’s event drew 140 leading executives from a range of departments within companies all across the cleaning products supply chain gathered together to learn from our panel of experts as well as from one another about the dynamic regulatory environment affecting the industry. Those in attendance heard presentations from Seventh Generation, EPA, Green Seal, The Soap & Detergent Association, Dial Corporation, Rhodia Novecare, Genencor and more! This year’s agenda is anticipated to follow last year’s reputation as the most notable forum for discussion and networking on this crucial topic! You won’t want to miss out!

Key topics to be covered in the program:
• Green cleaning consumer trends
• Market drivers behind green innovations in the cleaning industry
• US and global regulations on chemicals
• Green marketing standards and oversight
• Sustainable technologies
• Specific case studies
