| Description |
The Department of Mathematics at Qassim University is pleased to announce its first two-day symposium on "Global Analysis and Probability" scheduled to be held during May 27-28, 2008. The first aim of the symposium is to encourage co-operation between researchers working in probability, stochastic analysis, functional analysis and geometry, and to expose the participants to recent trends in these areas. There will also be sessions devoted to paper presentation followed by group discussions. As a second aim, it is intended to develop the necessary infrastructure for the undergraduate and postgraduate programs of the department. With this in mind, the symposium will also feature a workshop on "Developing the programs of the mathematics department–Teaching and Research”.
