Your expertise and leadership is expected as soon as you assume office as the most senior student affairs officer. The Institute for New Senior Student Affairs Officers is the professional development opportunity designed to help you be successful in your new role.
The Institute will addresses the most relevant topics and issues you will face during this specific stage in your career, including:
--staff management
--campus culture and politics
--working relationships and cabinet fundamentals
--strategic plannining
--legal issues
--financial management
--crisis management
--professional and personal balance
The Institute’s faculty, all highly experienced SSAO’s from a diverse group of institutions, will share their experiences and provide you with insights and knowledge needed to effectively manage your new responsibilities and constituents, as well as broaden your perspectives on critical issues facing senior level leaders.
The Institute Participant
This program is designed for first-time SSAO’s who have not assumed office or are in the first two years of their SSAO position. Participants must be the most senior student affairs officer on their campus.
