The GirlFriend Gathering is a series of four conferences, which will begin in Florida and travel to several cities throughout the United States during 2008-2009. The GirlFriend Gathering seeks to promote women’s active participation in all spheres of public and private life through a full and equal share in economic, social, cultural and political decision-making. The GirlFriend Gathering provides three days of workshops and activities geared toward developing leadership skills, providing education, awareness, information, and networking opportunities to women from all occupations. As social changes continue to influence all aspects of women's lives, women must equip themselves with appropriate tools and skills. We bring quality speakers and teachers from around the country to address a wide variety of topics relevant to today’s women.
Women represent more than half of the world’s population and influence all components of society. Corporations are altering their view of women and now see them as both consumers and producers. It has become clear, women are increasingly spending their self-earned income and they are a powerful economic force.

The theme for the conference is “Become a Better You” and it will focus on Living Healthy: Body, Mind and Spirit, Entrepreneurialism, Wealth Building and Financial Intelligence. The GirlFriend Gathering respects and empowers women’s ideas, interest, aspirations, needs and accomplishments. The creation of the conference is about connections, whether it’s business, professional/personal or community connections. We believe the Gathering and the resources it brings will enhance the quality of women’s lives and assist in the solution of many of the problems women face today.
