| Description |
Overview
This 3-day hands-on short course/workshop is designed to introduce the basic concepts and methodologies of ArcGIS software to petroleum explorationists, including exploration and development geologists and geophysicists, petroleum engineers, and exploration managers. The course assumes no knowledge of ArcGIS or of GIS concepts, and consists of short introductory lectures followed by practical computer-based exercises that take participants from basic concepts to advanced topics. Examples used in the exercises are drawn from a wide variety of diverse worldwide petroleum basins. The course is taught by an experienced petroleum explorationist who has successfully used GIS software in his consulting business for many years.
