The first World Forum Against Drugs will take place in Stockholm, Sweden September 8-10, 2008. The main theme for the conference is 100 years of drug prevention – how do we move forward?
It was in 1909 in Shanghai, China that the first international meeting about drug control took place. Countries started cooperating in order to reduce the problem of drug abuse.
What can we learn from history and how is the situation today? Where are the good examples and how can we develop our work in the future?
World Forum Against Drugs welcomes people from all over the world ─ NGOs and politicians, scientists, self-help groups, professionals and others ─ who work at grass roots level against narcotic drugs. WFAD is the start of the next step. During three days you will be able to attend interesting seminars, discuss important issues, get updated on research and participate in workshops.
