| Description |
The International E.coli Alliance conference will be held at the Wellcome Trust Conference Centre at Hinxton, near Cambridge, England from 24th- 27th September 2008. This is a 4 day meeting which will cover the impact of the genomics and post-genomics revolution in microbiology, with special focus on bacterial regulatory strategies and pathogenic mechanisms.
More is know about Escherichia coli K-12 than about any other living organism and it remains the model cell of choice for the study of many fundamental cellular processes. More crucially, Escherichia coli and its close relatives play vital roles in our environment, and the meeting will interest medical, veterinary and environmental scientists, and engineers and modellers from all disciplines.
