About SEC(R)
Software Engineering Conference in Russia is the key Eastern European Software Engineering event that last years attracted speakers from 15+ countries, and in 2007 was attended by over 500 participants from all over the world. The list of keynote speakers from previous SEC(R) conferences includes Michael Cusumano, Larry Constantine, Claudia Dent, Michael Fagan, Bill Hefley, Ivar Jacobson, Rick Kazman, Steve Masters, Mark Paulk and Michel Speranski. The conference is traditionally supported by such industry leaders as Borland, EMC2, IBM, Intel, INTSPEI, Microsoft, ORACLE, Telelogic, Siemens, Sun Microsystems, etc.
SEC(R) 2008 is organized by TEKAMA (http://www.tekama.com) and Higher School of Economics (http://www.hse.ru/). It will act as an international forum for in-depth and substantive discussion on the emerging technologies and methodologies being developed to overcome the challenges that exist in different areas of software engineering.
For the software companies, this conference is a great opportunity to present and observe the most recent innovations, trends, practices, and ideas in software engineering. For professionals, it is a perfect chance to get the latest technical information and insights from Russian, European, and US industry leaders and technical experts. For scientists and academia, this is a way to present their findings and software research and find out the current industry needs and standards.

Instructions for Authors
Researchers and practitioners are encouraged to present their ongoing work and results on software engineering. Papers, presentations, topics for round-tables, and workshops are solicited for inclusion at the conference. Submissions will be reviewed by an international program committee. Please submit your proposals via the submission engine at https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/secr2008 .
All submissions will be acknowledged within few days. Submissions will be reviewed for quality and relevance, and the acceptance decision will be emailed to the corresponding author.
Article template is available for download from http://www.secr.ru/etc/secr2008-template_vletter.doc
Please, remove all occurrences of authors’ names/affiliation from the submitted papers, as they will undergo double-blinded review. Authors’ names/affiliations will be added only to camera-ready versions of the accepted articles.
Papers can be written either in Russian or in English; however, each paper must have an abstract in English (up to 2000 characters).
When you submit your paper, you are giving the rights to the conference committee to publish your articles in conference proceedings and reference them in conference materials such as booklets, newsletters, website, etc.
Authors of the accepted papers will get free passes to the conference.
