It is our great pleasure to inform and invite you to the International conference and workshop on “Medical and Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology: Latest developments, practical considerations and applications” to be held on 25-26th September, 2008 at Department of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology, Bharathidasan Institute of Technology, Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India.
Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli is one of the new Technical Universities that has been established by the Government of Tamil Nadu at Tiruchirappalli, a city of rich cultural heritage with a host of reputed educational institutions and known as Rock Fort city with a view to impart quality student centered technical education by striving hard for continuous development and improvement in learning, research and developmental activities so as to produce proven technocrats. The University carries out teaching, research and extension services through its centres, departments and constituent and affiliated colleges. It also works to foster partnerships with academic and industry experts to provide educational opportunities and training.

These advances have also radically changed the pharmaceutical manufacturing and delivery systems increasing the challenge of designing optimal manufacturing processes. To successfully meet this challenge, you must be fluent in the language of basic chemical process engineering principles and knowledgeable in the engineering science and unit operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing made the genesis of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology. Over the past decade, a handful of pharmaceutical engineering programs have popped up globally. It is our pride to say that for the first time in India, such a degree programme is being initiated and conducted by Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli – 620 024.
This international conference and workshop on Medical and Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology will promise to be an exciting opportunity to hear about the latest initiatives and research avenues in medical nanotechnology. This Conference provides an ideal venue for interaction between students, industrialists, engineers, scientists and clinical investigators conducting research relevant to nanotechnology and the life sciences.
