| Description |
The National Research and Development Institute for Textiles and Leather (INCDTP) - Leather and Footwear Research Institute (ICPI) Bucharest, Romania, announces The 2nd International Conference on Advanced materials and Systems - ICAMS 2008 - to be held in Bucharest, on October 23-24, 2008.
The aim of the Conference is to bring togeter researchers, scientists, engineers, experts and policy makers from all over the world to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results on important issues related to novel materials and systems in science and technology in the 21st century, and to provide a good opportunity for networking for all these groups.
The attendees will discuss issues of smart and functional materials and biomaterials, systems and technologies, including new processing methods and innovative applications. Special attention will be given to quality management and competitiveness on the global market and the impact on the environment and cultural heritage.
The papers will be published in the ICAMS 2008 Proceedings.

The conference fee covers: admission to all conference sessions; participation with two papers as first author; all conference materials: conference bag, program, proceedings, CD; lunches, and tea/coffee breaks during the conference days.
Conference fee (EURO): Before September 30th: Participant 150, Student and Ph.D student:50; After September 30th: Participant 200, Student and Ph.D student:75.
