Training Needs Analysis is an invaluable tool that can qualitatively determine the direction of any company. It is particularly useful in addressing skill gaps, increasing productivity & reducing wastage of resources. However, the challenge to gain the management acceptance & approval is very important to ensure a TNA’s success. Those charged with carrying out a TNA process must be competent & thorough in their presentation & yet concise in their presentation. The TNA process can be useful in the aspect of the management of the training budgets as it can be seen that the solutions recommended will be able to address any skill gaps that may be present in any organisation. All future trainings are conducted in a more professional manner & not as a ‘fire fighting’ approach to show activity. Rather it is a scientifically researched process to minimise loss, reduce rework, financial resources & effectively contribute to the bottom line deliverables.
