| Description |
Information technology continues to increase opportunities for strategic advantages and to increase corporate efficiency. Some
researchers and practitioners maintain that the greatest threat to this trend may be the shortage of qualified IT personnel. Others
maintain that firms producing new IT applications overlook opportunities to retrain and reassign older workers skilled in legacy
technologies. This issue is debated within a context where the IT environment in many businesses is changing from a "development
paradigm" to a "buy and integrate" approach.
This conference is intended to serve as a forum for discussing the wide range of issues that are raised by today's Information and
Communication Technologies, as well as their evolution and their paradigm shifts. Authors are invited to submit papers that discuss
foundational, empirical or experimental aspects of information and communication technologies. Tutorials are solicited as well aspanel proposals dealing with these topics.
All submissions will be refereed by at least three members of the Program Committee.
