As on previous occasions the emphasis of this conference will be on physics, technology, and properties
of semiconductor sensors. The proceedings of the conference will again be published as refereed papers in
a special issue of Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research, Section A1.
Contributions to this conference are invited for the following fields:
• Principles and Properties of Detectors
• Read-out Electronics
• Device Physics
• Detector Technology and Semiconductor Material Properties
• Defects in Base Material and Devices (including Radiation Damage)
• New Applications for Semiconductor Detectors
• Vertical Integration of Sensors and Read-out Electronics
The last conference of this series had the special focus with an extended session on solid state vertex
detectors at collider experiments. This time, special emphasis will be on detectors and experiments at the
new generation of photon sources like XFEL and LCLS. The extended session on this topic will be
introduced by invited key-note speakers giving an overview of the challenges and solutions for these
