Conserving natural resources and fostering social and economic responsibility is a global movement called environmental sustainability. Sustainability is promoting a cultural change in how we look at, and perform daily business operations, and our effects on the triple bottom line of people, profit and planet.
Sustainability defined: â€œMeeting our needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs â€“ from the 1987 World Commission on Environment and Development (Brundtland Report)â€
Who should attend: building trades professionals; people involved with City Administration (council members, administration, staff, all employees); students from any school or college; and the public in general. Attendees encouraged from IA, CO, MO, KS, NE, WY, SD
