Attracting Under-Engaged Students with Innovative Leadership Programs
|Event Date/Time: May 26, 2009|
Student success relies heavily on engagement during college, and those who have been engaged during the college process are far more productive after college. Leadership programming is an ideal way to engage students but many programs only attract one type of student. How can your student leadership program engage diverse populations and attract those who wouldn't normally participate?
Join Academic Impressions as we examine the characteristics of students who are less engaged and suggest approaches for engaging these students. We will highlight two distinct student leadership programs that have been successful in attracting three separate, traditionally under-engaged student populations: commuter students, international students, and students with disabilities.
