Description

AMBIENT INTELLIGENCE FORUM 2009
16th – 18th September 2009
Hradec Králové
Czech Republic

VISION
Ambient Intelligence is a concept envisioning information society in the future. In AmI the
attention is focused on four major aspects which are the user friendliness, effectiveness,
distributed support and interactivity. AmI is based on utmost integration of information and
communication technologies to the environment so that from the point of view of the user it is
absolutely non-essential with what technologies is interacting; with how many applications is
in contact; how the applications are related and how the applications cooperate. In fact the
user might not be even aware that he/she is interacting with technology or applications at all.
However, recently the area of research and applications of the AmI approaches seems to be
more and more interdisciplinary, if not true transdisciplinary area, covering vast bulk of
previously independently developed areas.
