| Description |
To mark the tercentenary of the death of the great Celtic scholar Edward Lhuyd, the Centre will host a major international conference at Aberystwyth from 30 June to 3 July 2009. Distinguished scholars will present keynote lectures on Edward Lhuyd’s most significant contributions to scholarship. We now invite scholars to offer sectional papers devoted to different aspects of subjects in which Lhuyd excelled, including language, literature, antiquities and science. It is not necessary for such presentations to be directly associated with Lhuyd and we especially welcome interdisciplinary papers which encourage genuine and fruitful dialogue.
