The current financial uncertainty and the rapid fall in oil prices have made both operators and contractors in the Oil & Gas industry focus on minimising risks in their ongoing projects. The objective is to maximise production levels of good quality oil without adopting very capital intensive technology. While EOR methods have been implemented in several Asian markets for more than a decade, not much information is available on their commercial viability and adaptability to specific locational characteristics.

The draft agenda below highlights the different types of EOR techniques being used and their adaptability to specific reservoir conditions in Asia. The two-day conference programme will focus on:
• Well established EOR techniques such as gas injection & water flooding
• Emerging techniques such as MEOR, Surfactant and Polymer injection, Air & Miscible Gas Combustion
• Differences among various reservoirs and the EOR technique best suited for them
• Case studies highlighting successful EOR implementation across both stabled as well as emerging markets in Asia
• Short and long-term EOR solutions and their impact on bottom line profitability
