| Description |
The family of Ordered Weighted Averaging (OWA) operators, as introduced by Yager (1988), appears to be very useful in many fields. OWA operators are used to combine several inputs into a single representative value, which can be subsequently used for various purposes, such as ranking alternatives or combining logical rules. Aggregation of information is important in construction of knowledge based systems in many fields, ranging from medicine, economics, and engineering to decision-making processes, fuzzy integration, expert systems, artificial intelligence, robotics, group decision making, preference ranking , search engine retrieval and machine learning. Many more applications are reported in Multiple Criteria Decision Making.
