This program educates clinicians on the latest treatment strategies and research data for many aspects of affective illness: pharmacotherapy, sub-typing clinical presentations; primary care presentations; advances in understanding pathophysiology and treatment (including genomics, neurotherapeutics, and neuroimaging); combination of somatic and verbal therapies; medical co-morbidity; dual diagnosis; treatment of special populations (geriatrics and pregnancy); and treatment adherence, resistance, and symptom recurrence. This program also provides a highly-interactive format that allows optimal learning about the comprehensive care of patients with affective illness.
