Following on from the successful National Risk 08, we are delighted to announce that National Risk 09 will take place at London’s City Hall, June 10, 2009. This event will draw upon the original discussions of the December 08 debut, and build a more in-depth picture of the risks facing agencies, organisations, businesses and communities.

Speakers will include - Narinder Nayar of Bombay First, speaking on the experience and lessons to be drawn from the Mumbai Terror Attacks; Cleo Paskal of Chatham House looking at environmental risks and how these affect physical and social society; Ian Walford and Wyn Price from the Scottish and Welsh Assembly Government's respectively looking at their regional input into the National Risk Register; Phil Trendall from the British Transport Police will assess the security on UK railways; John Haddon of Arup will be focussing on how we can build protection of the CNI into our communities; and Richard Barnes - Deputy Mayor of London - will be opening the day with his thoughts on the nature of risks affecting the UK.
