Description Respiratory tract infections represent a high proportion of the burden of health and death throughout the world. Acute respiratory infections (ARIs) continue to be the leading cause of acute illnesses worldwide and remain the most important cause of infant and young children mortality, accounting for about two million deaths each year and ranking first among causes of disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) lost in developing countries. The populations most at risk for developing a fatal respiratory disease are the very young, the elderly, and the immunocompromised. While upper respiratory infections (URIs) are very frequent but seldom life-threatening, lower respiratory infections (LRIs) are responsible for more severe illnesses such as influenza, pneumonia, tuberculosis, and bronchiolitis that are the leading contributors to ARIs' mortality. The other omportant health problems are TB, asthma, COPD.
The Congress will provide audience with current knowledge to: review the current guidelines in management CAP, TB and asthma in childhood; asses and manage recurrent respiratory infections in childhood; give insights into the most appropriate approaches to diagnostic and treatment severe pneumonia with pleural effusions; provide update on current recommendations for diagnostic and treatment of CAP, asthma and COPD in adults.
Additional Information The venue of the Congress is newly opened Hilton hotel in Batumi, famous seaside resort in the Black Sea coast, about 15 km from the Turkish border.
Early registration fee Euro 200.
