Description Nanotech Europe is Europe’s largest annual nanotechnology conference and exhibition; a meeting place for the global nanotechnology community including researchers, industry, policymakers and investors. The event will be held on 28 -30 September 2009 in Berlin, Germany.
The 2009 event is organised by a comprehensive consortium of partners, including Agent-D, the coordination group of the Centers of Competence of Nanotechnology in Germany and co-organised with Technische Universität Berlin (TU Berlin) in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Germany).
The fifth Nanotech Europe has a broad scope, covering leading-edge research, industrial applications and cross-cutting topics including: electronics, energy, transportation, healthcare, safety and investment.
Previous Nanotech Europe events have included high-quality speakers from both academia and industry, including government officials and key industry players. The Nanotech Northern Europe 2008 event attracted over 800 participants and contributors from 44 countries. The event featured leading companies including Nokia, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Vestas, Samsung, Fujitsu, Merck, ABB, BASF, Bayer, and Unilever.
The conference will feature work ranging from the latest scientific breakthroughs to industrial uses of nanotechnology, whilst technology transfer sessions will offer opportunities for start-ups and universities to market their technologies.
The exhibition will demonstrate developments in nanotechnology-based products, tools and other services.
