ARRIVAL/DEPARTURES â€“ You will fly into the Butte International Airport on Thursday, June 5th, 2008 at your most convenient time. There will be shuttles to and from the airport throughout the day to bring you to the resort. Travel distance is less than 30 minutes, about 19 miles. Book your return flights leaving Sunday at your convenience. Once again, PDT provides shuttle transportation for you to the airport.
COCKTAIL RECEPTION â€“ Will start at 7:30 pm Thursday evening, June 5th. A little get-to-know-each-other before it all begins (PDT factory tour attendees will be back in plenty of time to freshen up, nap, or hot pool!)
MEALS (included at no charge) â€“ Breakfast: buffet-style each morning of the 6th and 7th from 6:30 to 7:20 am. Lunch: Buffet-style on the 6th, possible box lunch-style on the 7th that you may have while attending events! Western-style grill dinner outdoors (weather permitting) on the Saturday night as a farewell dinner, prizes awarded during reception and fun!
FACTORY TOUR - If you want to participate in â€œThe Birth of an Instrumentâ€ tour, you will need to arrive a day earlier on Wednesday, June 4th. There will be a bus to pick you up at the resort at 8:00 am on Thursday, June 5th to take you on a scenic drive into Missoula to enjoy the PDT factory tour. Have lunch with the people that actually make the instruments you love, and a bus ride back in the afternoon, with plenty of time to freshen-up for the evenings opening â€œCocktail Reception in Paradiseâ€. The only additional cost is your extra nights stay ($64.50 per person, based on double occupancy). Your transportation, tour and your lunch is sponsored by PDT, Inc.
SEMINARS â€“ Attached are the seminar and presenter profiles in this packet. Seminars will start at 7:30 on the mornings of June 6th and 7th and will last until 11:30 with breaks and snacks provided. Will you be tired? Of course! There is a lot of fun to cram in 3 daysâ€¦
â€¢ GOLF LESSONS â€“ There will be lessons for both the beginner and experienced golfer taught by PGA-certified pros. Lessons are approximately 1 hour, limited to 6 people per class. There will be several classes per afternoon. The charge is $20 and clubs can be provided. We suggest you sign up for classes on the 6th, ready to play in the tournament on the 7th! The tournament will be a scramble, so anyone can play!
â€¢ HORSEBACK RIDING â€“ a bus will pick you up after lunch and take you to the Iron Wheel Ranch, approximately 30 minutes away for a 2-hour adventure trail ride. The cost is $48, transportation is included! Bring your Cowboy (or Cowgirl) hat, you are in Montana!
â€¢ SAPPHIRE MINING â€“ This is a personal favorite of both Fred and Linda. A bus will pick you up at 1:30 pm on your day to take you to mine at North Americaâ€™s highest-yielding sapphire mine through the 20th century! Itâ€™s fun, itâ€™s dirty, and yes, itâ€™s profitable! After your mining session you will sit with gem experts to analyze and weigh your find. Linda and Fred wear the jewelry they have made with sapphires they actually mined themselves. Your cost will be $60, transportation included. You will not be disappointed, Linda and Fredâ€™s promise to you!
â€¢ OLD PRISON GHOST WALK â€“ The father/son team at TSI (Tortured Souls Investigations) have been featured in newspapers, magazines and a documentary regarding the paranormal. These are REAL ghost hunters! Tour the old Montana Territorial Prison. Opened in 1871 and closed in 1979, the hundred and eight years of history has many stories to tell about the men and women incarcerated there and their keepers. A great history tour as well as an enormous amount of documented paranormal activity is there and often witnessed by those on tour. This will be a Friday night only event! Limited space â€“ sign up early! Cost is only $10.
