The conference is composed of twelve three-hour tutorials on current statistical topics of interest. Recognized experts in the field of applied statistics are invited to give the lectures and short courses based on their recently published books. The conference makes these books available for sale to its attendees at an appreciable discount. Major emphasis this year is on the analysis of clinical trial data and there are four speakers from the FDA. One of the short courses is on the evaluation of surrogate endpoints given by Prof. Geert Molenberghs of Universiteit Hasselt in Belgium. Attendees receive bound proceedings of the conference presentations. The full program will be available on the conference web site on June 1. The conference will be held in the state-of-the-art Havana Tower of the Tropicana Casino Resort whose shops and dining experiences mimic the atmosphere of Old Havana. Walter Young has chaired this conference for 40 consecutive years.
