2009 has brought many challenges to the construction sector. The deteriorating global economic climate and subsequent liquidity problems have shifted the industry’s attention to value engineering. Building with precast concrete structures is arguably a more economical method of construction. Precast ensures quality whilst reducing labour costs and allows for rapid completion of construction projects. With precast concrete structures in higher demand, the industry must now overcome the design, construction and logistical complexities of building with precast units.
Precast Concrete Middle East 2009, now in its second successful year, will address the latest challenges associated with integrating precast structures into the initial design process and effective erection techniques will be discussed.
