Remember the good old days of the outdoor cinema screenings of black and white films and the glory of the three ‘worlds’ – New World, Great World and Happy World? Would the new generation of PSP converts understand the thrill of catching spiders at the longkangs or snacking on something as simple and cheap as kachang puteh wrapped in paper cones? Join us as bring you on a road trip back to Singapore in the 1960s.

Aspiration Pathfinder or AsPITM as it is known for is a programme that promotes creative thinking. Themed to Singapore in the 1960’s, this special edition of AsPITM will guide participants through a series of immersive experiences beginning from the time when Singapore attained its independence in 1965.

Experience Singapore’s dying breed of cultural performances such as the Malay Bangsawan and hop on a trail to some of Singapore’s historical landmarks that witnessed Singapore’s countless transformations, so as to experience a first hand account of all things related to the 1960s. Hear for yourself the humbling experiences of Singapore’s past Cabinet member who has extensively and significantly contributed to Singapore’s rapid development to what it is today and listen to a ‘baby boomer’ share the nostalgic and highly cherished moments of growing up in a post-war era.

The programme is open to the public and is suitable for those aged 18 years old and above. Due to the nature of the programme, participation is limited to 25 registered participants only. Please register via email to:, indicating your name, designation and organisation. Kindly RSVP by Friday, 22 May 2009.Visit for more programmes and exhibitions.
