Description
Aspiration Pathfinder or AsPITM as it is known for is a programme that promotes creative thinking. Themed to Singapore in the 1960’s, this special edition of AsPITM will guide participants through a series of immersive experiences beginning from the time when Singapore attained its independence in 1965.
Experience Singapore’s dying breed of cultural performances such as the Malay Bangsawan and hop on a trail to some of Singapore’s historical landmarks that witnessed Singapore’s countless transformations, so as to experience a first hand account of all things related to the 1960s. Hear for yourself the humbling experiences of Singapore’s past Cabinet member who has extensively and significantly contributed to Singapore’s rapid development to what it is today and listen to a ‘baby boomer’ share the nostalgic and highly cherished moments of growing up in a post-war era.
The programme is open to the public and is suitable for those aged 18 years old and above. Due to the nature of the programme, participation is limited to 25 registered participants only. Please register via email to: Nurulhuda_SUBAHAN@nlb.gov.sg, indicating your name, designation and organisation. Kindly RSVP by Friday, 22 May 2009.Visit http://golibrary.nlb.gov.sg for more programmes and exhibitions.
