| Description |
The International Conferences on History of Statistics and Probability are organised by the Spanish Association of History of Statistics and Probability (AHEPE). In the last four Conferences several Universities such as Madrid’s Rey Juan Carlos University and San-Pablo CEU, the University of Castile-La Mancha and the Universities of Huelva and Seville, Andalusia took part in the events.
The Spanish Association of History of Statistics and Probability (AHEPE) aims to stimulate and promote education, research, and to publish, periodically or not, subjects related to the discipline of Spanish History of Statistics and Probability, to contribute to the safeguard of all kinds of historical sources, to stimulate interest and vocations in the discipline, and generally it will encourage whichever activities that contribute to the achievement of this purpose.
Ever since the first AHEPE Conference, which took place in July 2001, the association celebrates meetings every two years. These meetings have had an international character since 2003 due to the participation of French and German researchers and it represents a clear point of reference as a meeting point for Spanish and International researchers in the field of the History of the Statistics and Probability, and they also act as a forum for the debate and discussion of the work carried out by specialists in this subject.
