This year’s GSMA Mobile Innovation EMEA Event, will be held as a part of the 2009 HiT Barcelona World Innovation Summit from 17-19 June 2009.
The Mobile Innovation EMEA Event will celebrate the continued advancement of one of the world’s most dynamic and successful industries – Mobile Telecommunications. It is the inaugural event in the 2009/10 Mobile Innovation Global Programme, which is designed to connect entrepreneurs and developers of the most innovative products, services and technologies with operators, the investment community and vendors.
The Telecom track will attract over 400 senior executives, leaders, and speakers, representing all facets of the mobile innovation ecosystem, including Mobile Network Operators, Venture Capital, Innovators, mobile industry suppliers, and major brands.
The Mobile Innovation EMEA Event will kick-off with the 2010 Mobile Innovation Grand Prix, specifically designed for start-ups, small and medium sized organisations that are developing innovative mobile products or services and seek industry support in order to achieve and/or sustain market deployments. The Mobile Innovation Grand Prix is a year-round process, and the EMEA leg is the first event that leads to the world championship at the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress 2010.
Mobile Innovation EMEA Event 2009 will be structured in four areas:
– Conference: high level keynote speakers and panel discussions diving into the hottest topics within the mobile industry, issues that will shape the mobile products and services of tomorrow
– Demonstration showcase: an exhibition area showcasing the 14 Innovator Nominee companies
– Networking: Invitation-only "Speed-Dating" session for GSMA member innovators with key decision-makers from the operator, investor and vendor community
– 2010 Mobile Innovation Grand Prix: A unique platform for 15 Innovator Nominees who will compete for the Mobile Innovation - EMEA title. Over two days, each of the nominees, from across seven categories, pitch their products and services in front of the esteemed judging panel and a global audience.
