Since 2003, SAHARA has convened four conferences as platforms for interaction between researchers and policy makers, with the goal of sharing information and best practices relating to the social aspects of HIV and AIDS. The conferences have included researchers, policy makers, civil society organisations, people living with HIV and AIDS, private sector organisations, inter-governmental organisations, international and donor organisations, etc.
