This meeting will extend the tradition of six highly successful meetings devoted to this topic held in Austria, Slovakia, Portugal, United States, Czech Republic and Belgium during the past 7 years. The Meeting will begin on the evening of Wednesday, September 9th and conclude late in the morning on the Sunday 13th.
These sessions will cover a variety of topics, including:
Systems Biology of apoptosis
Mitochondrial apoptotic pathways
Caspase-dependent and independent apoptosis
Age-induced programmed cell death´
Alternative cell death forms (e.g. necrosis, autophagic death)
Yeast as a model for neurodegeneration
Targeting apoptosis in unicellular parasites and pathogenic fungi
Yeast as a model for lipotoxic cell death
Opportunities will be available for oral and poster presentations.
