| Description |
The Recovery Act provides $7.22 billion for projects and programs administered by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). These programs will protect and promote “green” jobs and a healthier environment, offer resources to help other agencies “green” infrastructure and administer environmental regulations that govern Recovery activities. The EPA is issuing grants and contracts in order to create these programs quickly and efficiently.
With the EPA planning to award both the designated funds and competitive grants as quickly as possible to states and contractors, the Performance Institute will be hosting our Environmental Programs for Grants under the Recovery Act. This 90 minute online training will outline the environmental areas that will be focused on such as Brownfields, Clean and Safe Drinking Water, Diesel Emissions Reduction and more.
You Will Learn To:
• Review the Recovery Act and track the distributed funds allocated to improve various environmental areas in order to apply for grants
• Examine the EPA’s Brownfields Program which will issue $100 million in competitive grants to evaluate and clean up former industrial and commercial sites
• Identify how to apply for the $6 billion dollar funds being issued to communities around the nation in order to improve water quality and wastewater infrastructure
