The 5th annual ICT for Development forum, eINDIA 2009 (http://www.eindia.net.in/2009) will be held at Hyderabad in Hyderabad International Convention Centre, India, between the 25-27 August, 2009. The international conference-cum-exhibition is being organised by Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information and Technology, Government of India. Department of Information Technology and Communications, Government of Andhra Pradesh, is the host partner of eINDIA2009. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is the Government Partner to this event.
eINDIA 2009, a three-day international conference and exhibition, is a unique platform for knowledge sharing in different domains of ICT for development. It will bring together ICT experts, practitioners, business leaders and stakeholders of the region, onto one platform, through keynote addresses, paper presentations, thematic workshops and exhibitions. The event will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to interact with a wide and diverse development community. eINDIA 2009 will also serve as an exhibition host to some of the latest e-Solutions, services, initiatives and case studies from across India and beyond.
eINDIA 2009, through its four seminal conferences, will focus on six application domains of ICT for development- e-Government, ICT in Education, ICT and Rural Development, ICT enabled Health services, ICT and agriculture and mobile applications and services for development. The four conferences are namely:
1. egov (egov track will have egov track conference and symposiums on Homeland Security, Power IT, mConnect and e-Agriculture)
2. digital learning
3. eHealth
4. Indian Telecentre Forum
