| Description |
This educational program is intended for basic scientists, surgeons, geriatricians,
medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, psychologists, sociologists, nurses, nurse
practitioners and other healthcare professionals in active clinical practice interested
in and/or involved in the management of elderly cancer patients. No specialized
knowledge or skills other than a general familiarity with cancer and its treatment is
required for successful participation in the program
Topics will be:
- Detection, evaluation, treatment of common geriatric oncologic symptoms
- Ethical, cultural aspects of treatment decisions for geriatric oncology patients
- Aging and senescence
- Colorectal, breast cancer, prostate, bladder, kidney, lung, gynecologic cancer in the elderly
- Hematologic malignancies in the elderly
CME Accreditation
Program will be submitted for CME accreditation
