| Description |
This year's 3-day conference, which will take place at the beautiful Ignatius Jesuit Centre in Guelph, Ontario, is highlighting the eco-friendliness of horticultural therapy and the ways in which we can nurture the earth and ourselves. The organic approach is basic to healthy HT, from building fabulous soil and using mulch, to watering wisely and controlling pests without chemicals. This is your chance to learn more about organic techniques and how to make your HT programs (and your home garden) earth-friendlier, and to dig more deeply into the connections with nature that make HT so effective.
In addition to presentations by a roster of dynamite speakers, there will be creative hands-on-activities, and tours showcasing a variety of HT programs in the Guelph area. This exciting conference offers inspiration and information in equal measure. So unearth your sense of humus and join us in Guelph in September! Watch for more details in the newsletter and on our website (this site).
Want to be a speaker and share your insights, information and/or experiences? Fill out the call-for-presenters form, and e-mail to our Conference Coordinator-Karen Ince at conference@chta.ca
